We now offer "Sizing Bushings" for all of of our pen and pencil
kits for use with other manufacturer's lathes. These bushings fit on your
7mm mandrel and are the exact size of the completed wood barrels.
Even though the bushings are made of hardened steel, you must be careful not
to hit them with your chisel or sanding cloth, as you will alter the exact
measurements.

Adhesives
WoodWrite, Ltd. CN-01 Adhesive
This is THE adhesive for gluing your brass tubes. CN-01 is
a specially formulated polyurethane glue that is slightly acid and is best for all your
wood gluing needs. Because it is a moisture activated glue, you never have to worry about
the moisture content of the wood or the air. You can glue the most resinous of exotic and
rare woods without the requirement of special surface preparation. The "sheer"
strength of this glue is incredible. You never have to worry about the brass tube
separating from the wood during turning. This glue is 100% waterproof and does not need
mixing and a little goes a long, long way.
WoodWrite, Ltd. CN-12 Pencil Joint Adhesive
This water soluble adhesive is just what is required for all gluing without the fear of
harming your your finish. We call it the Pencil Joint Adhesive because we advise you use
it when assembling your pencils or any part needing gluing for additional strength. Just
wipe off the excess with a damp cloth.
